Porridge and chocolate mousse together with some banana is just a dream made in heaven. Make it a healthy chocolate mousse and thats a win win. So how do you make a 'healthy' chocolate mousse....you use avocado! Ok this might sound crazy but stick with us. You know we only ever have your best interests at heart, so stick with us on this one and just know its a delicious combo.
The Great British Porridge Co Red Berry and Pumpkin seed Porridge
1 ripe avocado
1 heaped teaspoon of cacao powder
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
Very tiny pinch of Himalayan rock salt
Pieces of brownie and chocolate to add
To make the chocolate mousse, peel and de stone the avocado and scoop the avo into a blender. Add the cacao, maple and salt and blend together till smooth and creamy. Pop into the fridge to chill for a few minutes whilst you make the porridge.
Make the porridge up as usual adding hot water, then layer in a bowl with the chocolate mousse, slices of banana and we added some chocolate pieces and some brownie pieces.
